Trinity 20 - Serenity (Oct 25, 2020)

  • In a world gone pretty crazy, topsy-turvy

    • Our heart and mind can become troubled:

    • As we engage with the turbulence

    • And the insubstantiality of the world.

  • It’s important to note that while the world seems solid

    • It is in fact insubstantial.

    • The visible world is made from the consciousness

    • Of Christ, from the Cosmic Christ Himself.

    • And He gives it the appearance of being solid

    • To allow us to function in it through the senses.

  • The purpose of living in this visible and often crazy world

    • Is to not be caught up in the turbulence and changes;

    • But to live in love with all people and all things;

    • To accept everyone and everything just as it is,

    • Without judgment and without fear.

  • Is not the entirety of Christ’s message about living this love, which in itself is all Divine?

    • Love only knows from whence it came

    • And comprehends love.

    • This entire creation is made out of love

  • Is not the fullness of God’s Love:

    • Present in each and every particle of creation,

    • In each and every person and moment, and

    • In each and every thought, word and action?

    • It is there, but we work hard with our minds

    • To not see it, to not feel it.

  • To know that Love is to know the Lord Christ.

    • Knowing that Love is to share it and live it,

    • for it cannot be held from flowing.

  • The Lord Christ comes to us in so many ways.

    • And in the Gospel asks us to:

    • Walk with him on a simple, humble and gentle path

  • By walking with Him in this way

    • We come to that silence & peace of our own Being,

    • Which is serenity and which is knowing Him.

  • His love is without reason, and

    • When the heart and mind are capable of such love,

    • When we can let go of the Divine with our mind and

    • Surround it with our heart,

    • It will live inside us forever.
